Michelle Ciulla Lipkin
Michelle Ciulla Lipkin is a globally recognized leader in media literacy education. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at City University of New York where she teaches Media Literacy and works as an independent contractor creating curricular materials, resources, and conducting workshops. She currently partners with the National Association for Media Literacy Education, Blueshift Education, ConnectED, and others on advancing media literacy education around the U.S. and beyond. Michelle serves on the advisory board of Life Stories and Truth in Common.
Michelle worked as Executive Director of the National Association for Media Literacy Education from 2012 – 2025. During her tenure, Michelle founded U.S. Media Literacy Week, the National Media Literacy Alliance, and raised over $5 million.
Michelle was the recipient of the 2020 Global Media and Information Literacy Award given by UNESCO. Michelle holds her undergraduate and graduate degrees from New York University.
